My biggest regret is hiding from the camera every chance I got growing up. As a result, I don't have any tangible memories from my early years. As I've began stepping behind the camera... I've grown the realize the importance of documenting a moment in time through photography to cement even the tiniest of details in our memories for generations to come.
Some of my fondest memories growing up come from my love for photos. From flipping through my grandmother's photo albums and listening to her and my mom tell the stories behind each photo to rushing home from school, rushing through my homework just to flip through the pages of my favorite magazines. I loved how the photos married the stories so perfectly.
As a photographer, I get to combine these two passions. I see each session as an opportunity to help you tell your story, capturing the moments that matter most. It's like creating my own personal magazine for you, one that celebrates who you are right now in the most beautiful way possible.
FROM THE ARCHIVES: I didn’t know the word “editorial” yet... I just knew I wanted to create.
... and if I’m being honest, I still get in my head sometimes. I just don’t let it stop me anymore. For a long time, I avoided being in front of the camera because I didn’t feel attractive enough, handsome enough, or slim enough. Staying behind the lens felt safer.
But building my business required me to show up. It pushed me out of my comfort zone and into the frame. And once I did, I started seeing myself the way other people saw me. Photos helped me believe the same thing I preach to my clients now. You don’t have to wait until you feel “ready” to be seen. You just need someone who knows how to guide you through it.
Losing my mom made me realize how fast life moves and how much photos end up meaning later. I want this process to be easy for you. So when we shoot, I guide you through every step. The real magic happens when you see your images and you’re like, "wait… that’s me?" That’s when confidence hits. Because now you have proof. And years from now, your family will too.
