I’m the kind of person who loves to hit a cozy coffee shop whenever I need a change of pace. There’s just something about the smell of fresh coffee, the ambient noise, and the buzz of people working or chatting that puts me in a creative zone. So much so that my friend India and I have a running list of coffee shops to try in Raleigh. Since we both had some time off during today (even though we still opted to get work done), we decided to head over to Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee Shop in Morrisville, NC.

We got there around 1 PM, and I was a little worried since it was Veteran’s Day—I wasn’t sure if they’d be open. But they were, and the place was lively with people who seemed to have the same idea as us. It was the perfect balance of productivity and relaxation, with plenty of people working, chatting, and enjoying their drinks. I could already tell this was going to be one of those spots I’d want to return to again and again.

If you know me, you know I’m a huge matcha fan. Nine times out of ten, I’m ordering an Iced Oatmilk Matcha Latte when I visit any coffee shop. But lately I’ve been loving coffee! I tried their Iced Caramanilla Latte with Oatmilk, and wow—it was amazing! It’s sweet but not overly so, with a delicious blend of caramel and vanilla flavors. I loved how smooth it was, and I might just be convinced to start ordering more coffee drinks now. I’m telling you, if you’re even a little bit on the fence about coffee, this is the drink to try.
Since I hadn’t eaten anything yet (yep, classic me, always forgetting breakfast), I ordered their bacon, egg, and cheese croissant as well. Let me tell you, it was exactly what I needed. The croissant was perfectly flaky and buttery, with the right amount of filling. It’s one of those simple but satisfying options that hits the spot when you’re hungry and looking for something comforting.
