Jessica made this studio graduation session feel equal parts classy, confident, professional, and effortlessly beautiful.

I’m always gonna love a classic campus grad session. The brick buildings, the school landmarks, all of that will always be special. But honestly? I’ve been loving studio graduation sessions more and more lately.

And Jessica’s session is the perfect example of why.

She booked my Spotlight Mini Session because she wanted something simple, timeless, and easy. Nothing overly complicated. Just a clean space where she could celebrate this huge accomplishment without having to worry about weather, heat, wind, crowded locations, or walking all over campus carrying outfits and props. And honestly… the studio ended up being the perfect fit for her vision.

From literally the first click of the shutter, Jessica was giving look after look after look. Like genuinely SO photogenic. Every pose worked. Every angle worked. The confidence was there immediately and it made this session so fun to photograph.

I also loved how intentional her props felt. She brought books from her major, her planner, laptop, cap and gown, and everything tied together so naturally throughout the session. It made the photos feel personal to her instead of just feeling like generic graduation photos.

And can we talk about this dress for a second? Because the black and white detailing against the gray backdrop looked SO good on camera. It gave the session such a polished and professional feel while still feeling classy and timeless.

One thing I always try to include during grad sessions, especially college grad sessions, is a mix of graduation portraits and professional headshots. A lot of these students are stepping into new careers, applying for jobs, updating LinkedIn profiles, networking, all of that. So while yes, we’re absolutely celebrating the graduation itself, I also want them leaving with images they can actually use professionally too.

That’s honestly another reason I love studio sessions so much for grads. We can get the fun graduation photos, clean editorial portraits, and professional headshots all in one comfortable environment without rushing around from location to location.

Jessica absolutely killed this session and I’m honestly obsessed with how these turned out.

Congratulations again, Jessica 🤍
